Welcome to our classroom website! Feel free to take a peek around and check back often to stay updated on skills your child is working on! They'll use this website frequently, especially for Language Arts.
I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 5th grade over the past 11 years and have loved each and every year. This will be my 4th year as a 5th grade teacher. I feel fortunate to be able to work at such an amazing school with a fantastic team and supportive principal. Teaching is truly one of the greatest joys in my life. We have an amazing team of 5th grade teachers who work closely together to provide a 21st century learning experience that meets the needs of each and every student. Your child will have the opportunity to work with all 5 of us throughout the year, as we switch classes for the various subject areas. More specific information on that will be coming at Open House!
I wanted to share a little bit about myself, as I may not have the chance to get to know each of you during the hustle and bustle of Open House Night! I graduated from Totino-Grace High School and went on to pursue a teaching degree from the College of Saint Benedict. I graduated from St. Ben's in 2008 with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Math. I completed my Master's Degree in Teaching and Learning from St. Mary's University in 2015 and have continued my learning each summer by taking four Masters level courses, to stay fresh and continue learning each year! I live in Plymouth with my awesome husband, Dan and our two little boys, Landon and Theo. Landon is 4 1/2 and fills our house with so much love and laughter! Our little Theo will be turning 3 the first week of school! I have really enjoyed my summer with them! I look forward to getting to know each of you as the year goes on!
Open communication between parents/teacher is a crucial part of your child's educational experience, so let's keep in touch! I can be reached by e-mail at [email protected] or by phone at (763) 745-5545. Teaching your child during the day is my #1 priority, so I will get back to you as soon as I'm able to.
I'm looking forward to another fantastic year in 5th grade!
